House Republicans Urge Attorney General Pam Bondi to Investigate Fauci and Other Officials
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi is facing increased calls from House Republicans to take legal action against Dr. Anthony Fauci and other officials accused of undermining former President Donald Trump.
Central to their concerns is U.S. funding linked to gain-of-function research at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, which some believe may be connected to the origins of COVID-19. Republicans argue that Fauci misled Congress about these activities.
Senator Rand Paul has formally requested a criminal investigation into Fauci after emails suggesting his awareness of the research were made public.
Additionally, Republicans are pressing for legal action against Democratic officials, including New York Attorney General Letitia James and several mayors, over policies offering sanctuary to undocumented immigrants.
Bondi has also drawn criticism for releasing heavily redacted documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, raising questions about transparency.
These developments continue to fuel partisan debate over pandemic origins and accountability among public officials.
